Normal Neck Curve
The normal neck (cervical spine) when viewed from the side has a uniform forward curve, the upper back has an opposing backward curve and the lower back has a forward curve. These curves are essential for proper spinal alignment, balance and nerve function.
When there is a loss of curve in the neck there is a decreased vertebral artery function that reduces blood flow to the brain, and even more important, when there is a loss of curve in the neck there is an alteration or interference to the function of the nervous system, and the nervous system controls every function in the body. With chiropractic adjustments and specific exercises we can help people who have a loss of neck curve regain their normal neck curvature.
